gokonnect.ie · prepared for GoKonnect Solar only

"Solar" is in your company name. It's in two of your 158 rankings.

This review is about who your website brings in. We went through the site, your search rankings and your reviews. The site itself is genuinely well built, 40 pages, real product photography, a real customer testimonial video, nothing broken. The problem is what those pages are aimed at. Every one of your top-performing searches is smart home security, alarms or cameras. Only two of your 158 tracked searches mention solar, and neither has ever brought in a visitor. It's all detailed below, with what to do about each one.

01 The rankings

One real business, one search identity, and it isn't solar

Your site ranks for 158 searches in Ireland. Every meaningful one of them, in the table below, is about smart home security. The solar side of the business shows up exactly twice, both on page three.

What people GooglePeople / monthYour situation
smart home ireland210Your strongest ranking, from the smart-home page.2nd
smart lock front door170From your smart locks page.4th
smart home320From a blog post explaining smart home automation.5th
monitored house alarms ireland260From the homepage.8th
security cameras2.9KYour biggest-volume search, from the camera page.16th
solar panel quotation170The only meaningful solar search you rank for.27th
solar panel quotes140The other one.29th

Nothing here is a failing site. It's a site that has built a real identity around smart home security and never carried that same effort over to solar. The one page you have built for solar, a free quote page, ranks nowhere near the top three pages where your smart-home content already sits.

Bottom line: Your search identity is entirely smart home security. Solar barely exists in it yet.
02 The specifics

Four things keeping solar out of the picture

Weak
Your Google listing never mentions solar
The title reads "GoKonnect Smart Home Security & Smart Home Control Ireland." Anyone searching for solar has no reason to click through from that listing, even if your page could otherwise answer their search.
Duplicate
Two real pages, twice, share identical addresses
gokonnect.ie/ and gokonnect.ie/home carry the identical title. Your solar quote page has the same problem: gokonnect.ie/free-solar-quote-ireland and gokonnect.ie/solar-panel/free-solar-quote-ireland are both live right now with the same title and the same content. Each time this happens, Google has to decide which version should rank, and splits the authority between the two instead of giving it all to one.
Hidden
Your review record is nowhere on the site
A 4.7 rating is a genuinely strong number. It doesn't appear anywhere in the site's actual text, either for smart home or solar, so a new visitor has no way to see it.
Stale
The footer copyright still reads 2023
Small on its own, but it's the kind of detail a visitor notices without consciously registering it, a site that hasn't been touched since 2023 reads as less current than one kept up to date, whichever service they're looking at.
Worth noticing

None of this is a design problem. The site is well built and clearly well maintained on the smart-home side. Solar simply hasn't had the same attention: no page in the main navigation, no listing text, and nothing pointing search traffic toward it.

Bottom line: The site works. It just wasn't built to sell solar yet.
03 Done for you

The fixes, already written out

Each fix below is ready to hand to whoever manages the site.

Fix 1 · New text for your Google listing
This is what people see when GoKonnect comes up on Google today, next to what it should say. The current version leaves out solar entirely, even though it's part of the company name.
What Google shows now
https://gokonnect.ie
GoKonnect Smart Home Security & Smart Home Control Ireland
Ireland's best Smart Home Security company with Full Smart Home Control. Home Security and home alarm monitoring with no contracts from €14.99.
What it should show
https://gokonnect.ie
Smart Home Security & Solar Panels Ireland | GoKonnect
Smart home security, alarm monitoring and solar panel installation from GoKonnect. No-contract security plans from €14.99. Free solar assessment available.
Fix 2 · Remove the duplicate addresses
Two pairs of pages carry the same content right now. Pick one address in each pair and point the other at it instead of letting both exist separately.
gokonnect.ie/ and gokonnect.ie/home (owner: gokonnect.ie/, the address people actually share and link to)
gokonnect.ie/free-solar-quote-ireland and gokonnect.ie/solar-panel/free-solar-quote-ireland (owner: gokonnect.ie/free-solar-quote-ireland, the one in your current sitemap)
Fix 3 · Give solar equal footing on the site
The solar link is already in your main navigation. These are the changes that get it taken as seriously as the smart-home side once someone clicks through.
Homepage order (move the solar section higher, it currently sits below several smart-home sections)
Reviews (show "4.7 stars" somewhere visible on both the smart-home and solar sections)
Footer copyright (update from 2023 to the current year)

the growth work
Build a proper solar page. Photos of a real install, pricing, the SEAI grant, an FAQ, the same depth already given to the smart-home pages.

Write one solar-focused page a month. A county page or a use-case page, aimed the way the smart-home pages already are.

05 What it adds up to

Run your own numbers on it

Your two solar searches add up to

310 searches every month, between "solar panel quotation" and "solar panel quotes."

0 visits currently arrive from either of them.

2 of your 158 tracked searches mention solar at all.

That gap isn't traffic you've lost, it's a side of the business that hasn't been aimed at Google the way the smart-home side has. You already know how to build a page that ranks, the smart-lock and smart-home pages prove it. The same approach, applied once to solar, gives you a second real channel instead of one. You know your close rate on a solar enquiry versus a security one. That's the sum worth doing on your side.

Bottom line: The solar side of the business is real. It just hasn't been given a page that can rank yet.
Why sooner beats later

Your total keyword count fell 3.1% in the past month. Whatever ground the site holds is shrinking slightly, not growing, and none of it was solar to begin with.
